Kate earns more points towards her Canadian championsip by going Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, Best Puppy in Breed and Best of Breed over a special at the Kars, Ontario show under judge Dr Smith.

Briggs finishes his Canadian Championship undefeated in the classes, always owner handled. He picked up his last points at the 2009 Dominion Collie and Shetland Sheepdog Club under judge Pat Jung by going Winners Dog, Best of Winners. He was handled to this win by co-owner Dr. Elizabeth James.

It's true! Since the new year Am Ch Tartanside Southland Brigade "Briggs" (http://www.colliesonline.com/ad_archive_2006/southland_4_080506.html) is co-owned with Kendra O'Bryan of Ruffneck Collies. Briggs resides with the Ruffneck Collies in Tamworth Ontario. 

Briggs completed his American Championship at the prestigious Keystone Specialty, going Best of Winners and winning the Collie Club of America Loving Cup for "Best of" Best of Winners! This was at the huge Bucks County Show.

With his American Championship Briggs earned his dam AM CH TARTANSIDE FOOLPROOF ROM number 2 top producing Collie bitch of all time. His dad, BISS Am Ch Southland's Bowen Island ROM, needs no introduction to collie fanciers. He is the sire of more than 50 US champions, and two of the top three collies in Canada -- out of bitches from two different families! Bowen's ability to produce is legendary. Briggs is looking like a chip off the old block! We are thrilled with what we see from his first litters.

Thanks to Mike Cheatham for letting Briggs come to Canada, and to his breeder John Buddie of the world famous Tartanside Collies for his flawless presentation of Briggs at these US specialties.

Briggs also won second in the Open sable class at the 2009 CCA. But we aren't too upset at going number 2 -- number one went BOW and is Sarah's maternal 1/2 brother and and Allie's paternal 1/2 brother! Congratulations to his breeders, Krista and Dr. David Hansen of Camloch Collies
